Samantha Lesley Cracknell (née Jolly) of Cambridgeshire passed away on 28th August 2026, aged 55. She was born on 2nd June 1971 in Ely to Roger Jolly and Lesley Macer. Samantha grew up in Upware and Soham with her brother Gavin and attended Soham Village College. She then began working as a typist at Mott MacDonald and enjoyed an active social life with her friends, regularly attending gigs. At Motts, she met Jamie, who she married on 29th June 1996. Together they had three children: Olivia, Joseph and Eva, who grew up at their family home in Soham. During this period, Samantha had many pets as she had a profound love for animals, and attended various fitness classes with her friend Melanie. 

Sadly, Samantha was involved in a car accident in 2009 and suffered a traumatic brain injury from which she never recovered. Following her accident, the charity Headway were fantastically supportive both of her and her family, and they continue to do vital work for those who have suffered from brain injuries. 

Despite her relatively short time with us, she made a huge impact on those close to her and will be remembered for her style, chattiness and as an exemplary mother. Samantha is survived by her parents, brother, husband, and children."
