I'm sat here in my tour t-shirt from the Supergrass reunion at Ally Pally where we bumped into each other as we often would at theirs or Gaz Coombes's gigs and for Norwich City at the footy. I have been and will continue to play their music all day in your honour; I just knew that would for evermore come with a Mullet-sized lament as I can't help but think of you when I hear them. I fondly remember our road trip up to Manchester together to see Supergrass for their farewell tour a decade prior. And all your fanboi behaviour as I took your photo with Gaz for one of his gigs in Norwich! Our Wrath of the Barclay matchday meet-ups seem so long ago - well, a full quarter of a century ago now. We loved your cheekiness mixed with warmth, good humour and a kind heart back then and so it'll always be with a smile and a happy, tearful face that we will think of you in years to come. I miss you greatly, big man, I'm breaking down into tears trying to piece these words together. A big hug and a big kiss for a big soul x Clare & I shall raise a pint glass in your honour down the pub tonight and I'll order-in from my local tandoori, which I'm sure you'd approve of. Kev, I held off on filling this out as long as possible because in some small way, it felt doing so meant you'd still be around. Says a lot about you and your family that you'd request donations to charity - you are, and were, a fantastic friend, though our office will never quite be the same from your band of humor. You changed many lives mate with your caring nature, and I'll never forget how you stood with me in one of my darkest times when many people elected to stand by and wait. I've done a lot in the Trade Unions and a lot of that was repaying you for your kindness. It'll be a pleasure to celebrate your memory and you'll never be forgotten by any of us at ARU - and may your family know just how many lives you helped to change - though you are now finally free of my 'bright' based puns! :-)

I am still in shock as it was not long ago that Kevin and I were texting and catching up about the old days of Anglia / APU from the early noughties. My memories of Kevin will always be of fun times with his cheeky sense of humour mixed in to the craziness of teaching forensic science back in the day always being a perfect mix. Always supportive of the forensic science staff team and the students, Kevin was a fantastic colleague and a great person to discuss literally anything with - whether it be the wind ups of all things Scottish and English between him and I, learning Nepali swear words with him and Lata or his beloved Norwich football club, nothing was off the table for a good blether. Rest in peace my friend, with deepest condolences to Kevin's extended family.
