Mr Richard Paul (Paul) Jones

My sincere sympathies are of course with you & your family at this difficult time. I can well understand that Paul was an excellent husband, father & grandfather who will sorely be missed by you all. I first met Paul when he was working in his parents Post Office in the late 1960s & I had a Saturday van driving job at Bouquet the Florists nearly opposite on Hills Rd. In those days the payment for interflora orders to other Florists away from Cambridge were made by letter & postal orders; so I was a frequent Saturday visitor to Paul between flowers & grocery deliveries around Cambridge. I next came into contact with Paul when we both bought a new flat in Impala Drive around 1987. I always found Paul to be very friendly & would go out of his way to help myself & others both when he owned a flat; during the time we bought the freehold and subsequently in his role as Managing Agent something he performed very well indeed. (I think it also helped that we had a similar sense of humour too!) Indeed, I shall miss him a great deal both at a social level and certainly now we have had to find a company to be the managing agent. I shall miss the banter with Paul & indeed I doubt the service from a company will be as good. Rest in peace Paul, you put great effort into what you have done & did it all with a friendly smile & very pleasant fun manner.
