Born on February 04, 1936 passed away on the 9th June 2026 - at 90 years. Member of the 1st Kings Dragoon Guards. Piano Tuner, Music teacher, Jazz trumpeter and beloved husband to Janet, father to Russell and Tony and grandfather of Sam, Harry, Finn & Indi. Colin taught the gift of music to hundreds of students in his time in the Watford area and started many school bands. Cassiobury School, Watford Boys Grammar, South West Herts Music Centre. His talent was exceptional across all forms of music. Colin was very determined to share his musical knowledge. He entertained us with his Jazz nights and supported many Jazz bands all over the country We will miss him dearly, his cheeky smile and bad jokes. Listening to him practicing and working on new compositions. The quietness will amplify our loss and we will be forever grateful of his kindness and presence. We would like to thank everyone for all the beautiful messages cards and flowers, the support from the community has been very humbling. Thank you to the carers and the palliative care team at Addenbrooks.
