Mrs Marie Rawlings

Rawlings.jpg

Marie spent much of her life looking out for others, both in her career as a social worker and then head teacher and then later in life with family.  There were many causes close to her heart and we have chosen the charities, Cancer Research and Save the Children to celebrate her life.

Cancer Research was a charity Marie contributed to ever since she lost her own Mother and Marie regularly collected for, and championed, Save the Children, and with many children facing uncertain futures across the world at the moment, this seemed particularly fitting.

Rather than sending flowers, and should you wish, please consider a donation in Marie’s name to one of the two charities below

Mr & Mrs Howard & Roberta Segal

I will always have very fond memories of the time I spent with Auntie Marie since I was a little girl- in Hebden Bridge, Hargrave and Saffron Walden. My mum always saw Marie more like a sister than her cousin and loved spending time with her and so did my Grandpa Gordon. I will miss her stories and words of wisdom. Sending love to Joanna, Matthew and their families xxx
