Mr Benjamin Hopkins

Ben Hopkins IMP.jpg

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ben.

Ben died on 8th February at the age of 51 years.

Ben spent many happy hours with family and friends at The Queens Head, Newton and we would like to give him a permanent seat there by having a bench in his memory in the pub garden.

Therefore donations will be gratefully received and will go towards the funding of his bench.

There will be a private cremation service for close family and friends, but we will have a

'Celebration of his Life' on Saturday 4th July where all will be welcome.

Oh Ben we played together, we danced together and we laughed together. And boy did we laugh. I cannot wait to sit on the Ben-ch and talk nonsense again. That Ben! I’ll never ever forget you. Wilderness Will X

I hope to visit you at the Queen's Head often and enjoy a bit of much needed extra time, and maybe even a lockdown, with the one and only Ben.

Ms Kersti Winny

I've tried to find words, but of course there aren't any. Miss you, Ben.
