Messages of condolence
We lived next door to Jytte (and David) when I was about ten, and I remember her with great affection. She was always so kind and full of fun with me when I was a little girl.
Often she would be laughing and chatting with my mum while my friends and I used the low fence in her garden as our ballet barre, practising our steps. I loved her accent, the way she would say “ahh crumbs!”, and how she taught her budgie to speak (and even swear) in Danish, something we only discovered when her parents came to stay.
I also remember her coming home from the maternity hospital in July 1968 with her new baby, Neti, looking wonderfully glamorous with her hair swept up in a high chignon, a little like Audrey Hepburn.
She was such a lovely lady, and she will be very much missed.
