Butch I don’t know where to start 😢 I’ve loved getting to know you over these last few years, always welcoming, always loving and always jovial… a hug that had the feel of a dad hug. always asking how I was and how the kids were. What attracted me most to Barry was his kindness and family ethics…his heart of gold.. I feel like I found a diamond (agreed rough round the edges 🤪) and it comes from you and Barbara. Thank you for everything and I will miss you lots esp you taking the piss out of my kids on the cruise - I was looking forward to seeing your and their relationship form more 😢 Seeing the love you all have for each other and how you look after one another has been special and I feel grateful to have been a part of it in the later few years. A huge thanks to Farleigh too and amazing that your donations will go to helping other families who find themselves in this heartbreaking time. Cheers Butch and thanks for the memories lots of love Charlotte, Edie, Harry and Sam xxx

So very sad to hear of Butch's passing. He was a very special man. We spent 20 years together on standby and throughout those 20 years he was of no help to me whatsoever but every minute with him was a laugh. It was a joy to be in his company. He could see the funny side of any situation. Rest easy Butch my friend. It was an honour and pleasure to have known you. My one regret is I didn't know you earlier. He made everyones life richer. Sending my love and commiserations to Barb and family...... Simply loved the man.
