Ian and Kate were our dearest friends for over 40 years. We met as neighbours and shared the joy of bringing up our families together. Many a happy holiday was spent on Arran. This friendship deepened in the last eleven years with visits every weekend during which much red wine and cake would be consumed as we put the world to right - everything from politics, finance and of course Scottish rugby.
He will be sadly missed but very fondly remembered. Condolences and love to Kate and all the family.
Mr Trevor Copping
Goodbye, my dear friend. I shall miss you. I knew you over very many years as a work colleague and friend. What fun we had on the golf course. I have great admiration with the way you coped with the consequences of your dreadful accident. I am so disappointed that I was not able to attend your funeral.
Dr John Adcock
Respectfully and gratefully I will remember Ian.
