Delphine and I feel so lucky we got to spend some time with Sarah last Spring, even when she was battling the illness. Sarah is just one of those rare people who always shone on those she was around. I had the privilege of meeting Sarah only once at the final cocktail hour during ESMO 2022 in Paris. I was having a very tough time because the airline had lost all my luggage, and I had a lot of responsibility at that congress so by then I was ready to go home and put the experience behind me. I can't remember what she said when we met at, but it was laugh out loud funny! She lifted my spirits, without even knowing or intending to do so. I am grateful I had the chance to know her if only for a moment. She was a truly authentic, funny, lovely person. I will continue to keep her family in my prayers.
