Mr Nigel Brown

Nigel - In memory page photo (002).jpg

Nigel was proud to serve his country as a Grenadier Guards officer and, alongside a range of other charities, continued to support the Regiment and those who served in it long after he himself left. He was keen that anyone wishing to leave donations in his name should consider the Colonel’s Fund. A short write up of their work is below.

The Colonel’s Fund was established in 2006 and continues to assist all Grenadiers, and their families, who have been affected by serious injury or disability by providing the right support at the right time in the right place. The fund is especially designed to help the families of those killed in action by promptly responding to problems of bereavement and hardship; those wounded or injured on operations, particularly those who have had to leave the Army; and the families of those seriously wounded or injured in prolonged recovery situations.

With thanks,

Maria, James & Claire

Mr John David Dudley Brown

Nigel had been a supportive colleague for several years, whose individual company I enjoyed on many occasions. He was the embodiment of what might be termed, “an officer and a gentleman”. Always courteous, polite and friendly, eager to help, with a well-tuned sense of humour; it would be hard to think that anyone who knew him would not think him so. Our thoughts go out to Maria, James and Claire and all his wider family and friends. We will all miss him greatly.

Mr & Mrs David & Margaret Williamson

I know the work of this wonderful charity and am so pleased that this is Nigel's wish. May his shiny shoes walk with him on this journey. Very much love and hugs Gilli xxx
