It is with great sadness that we announce that our wonderful Peter Lockey passed away peacefully on the 1st July 2021 following a six-month battle with an extremely aggressive brain tumour. As a family we would like to thank everyone for their incredible support; we have been overwhelmed by the kindness that has been shown and the many messages of love we have received from around the world. Everyone that knew him will greatly miss his sense of fun, humour and zest for life.
We have had many enquiries from people who, touched by our family’s plight, have asked how they might help to make a difference and it was Peter’s wish that we find a way to help others to overcome similar conditions. Thank you for your support. Team Lockey x

Only met once a year at Toy Fair but a normal, fun, down to earth man who understood what is important in the toy industry and that that was the same as in life and that is life itself !

Peter taught me a lot about puppetry but especially storytelling and the magic that Puppets light up within people. Watching people of all ages stop and be captivated by the puppets being demonstrated by him was always a delight.
Working for Peter and Sue was never dull and I have some great memories. Peter was always looking for fantastic ways to present and demonstrate the puppets; to bring 'theatre' to people.
I once told him he reminded me of Toad of Toad Hall with all his new ideas, to which he replied 'Poop Poop!'
Thinking of you Sue, Sam, Katy, Hannah and family, Marisa x
