Chris was born on Christmas Day, 1946 to Reg and Tilly Rayner. She married Danny and they had 3 children who in turn gave her 6 grandchildren.

She has spent the last 50 years living in and around Royston and has made many friends along the way.

Chris was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the end of March this year and lost her battle, aged 74, just some 10 weeks later. Throughout this time she was brave, positive and always had a smile on her face.

This charity is dear to the family’s heart as they also lost Tilly to pancreatic cancer in 2001.

Total collected to date: £854.53

Ms Sue Phillips

In memory of my lovely sister Chris. Rest in Peace. Den and Annette

Mr Dennis Rayner

In memory of my dear friend Chris who I met at SW Herts College of Further Education, Watford, in 1962, when we were 15 years old. What a fun 2-year secretarial course we both enjoyed. Chris was a loyal friend. Marriage, bringing up children and Chris moving away resulted in not so much contact, but we never lost touch with each other. You were a fabulous friend Chris and taken far too early.
