Gordon will be sorely missed by all and especially by his motorcycling mates. He was always a live wire and his wit and wicked sense of humour will be something we remember fondly. Alistair and Soo

Mr Alistair Nieuwenhuyse

We first knew Gordon in 1987/88 when we were in Dubai together, spending weekends exploring the deserts and wadis in the days when few people were to be seen out there. He could give and take pranks in true New Zealand equanimity, so was always such fun and useful to have around, as any diversity would be met with a laugh, but also a good suggestion as to how to get out of it. A credit to all Kiwis, and an example to all others, which we could see clearly shared by all his family. Our hearts go out to all and in particular to Jackie, Abi and Lockie for the loss of such a wonderful anchor.

Mr & Mrs Tristan Howitt
