Messages of condolence

Judy met Rosemary at the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine when they were both in the same book club. We quickly became friends with her and her family and have many happy memories over many years on numerous occasions. She was an irreplaceable friend and will be sorely missed.

Mr Reg Goddard

In memory of Rosemary, a lovely lady. We didn't know Rosemary very well but we had the pleasure to meet her last year during Christmas. She was so kind to us and received us with such warmth and care on Christmas day. She will be missed by many. We regret not being able to spend more time with her. Our deepest sympathy goes to John, Dominic and Simon. Ana and Francisco.

Mr & Mrs Ana and Francisco Rodrigues

Thank you, Rosemary, for being you, and for your fun and enjoyment of life, which will stay with us for a long time.

Dr Janet Lockwood

Rosemary was one of the first friendly faces I encountered when I arrived in Cambridge back in the early eighties and quickly became a treasured family friend. She warmly welcomed Rhys and myself to into her home through the years and we have wonderful memories of music in St Edmunds, around Hauxton and the times that she and John would join us to support events we were hosting. Rosemary has been such an inspiration to us and we will endeavour to remain true to her attitude of embracing all with friendship, vitality and living life to the full. With love to John, Simon and Dominic Anji and Rhys

Rosemary was a dear friend to me for over 48 years. We had some really good times together when our children were young and kept in touch through the years with various functions, celebrations and meals together. She was my son Richard's Godmother and supported both my children in their sporting exploits. Rosemary will be sadly missed by us all but never forgotten. Our love always, Shirley, Colin, Clare and Richard.

Mrs Shirley Wilkinson

Dear Rosemary, you will be sorely missed. A fine example of a true pillar of the church. You ran the committee and church events with extraordinary military precision. Your many friends from the local surrounds and from the "Friends of Hauxton church" will be bereft of a dear friend. Immense praise and thanks to Arthur Rank Hospice for the comfort and support received from the staff who cared for our special friend Rosemary. With much love, Megan Sammons

Sadly I only got to know Rosemary in the last few years of her life. But in the time that I was fortunate enough to get to know her she was always so thoughtful, generous, kind and caring to everyone around her. She was a fantastic hostess and a good friend to so many. She will be missed by so many people. My deepest sympathy goes to John, Simon and Dominic at this very difficult time. Rest in peace. Rosemary loved St Edmund's church, and chose to be laid to rest in the churchyard, where the shadow of the chuch would pass over her every day. I have many happy memories of being with her at services over the years. Arthur Rank House gave her wonderful care in her last days. I can not praise the staff highly enough for their kindness and thoughtfulness to her and John and her family.
