Mrs Bridget Green

I am in the fortunate position of having known Marcus for around 30 years. As everyone will say, he was a pleasure to know, someone who always took pride in his work, his family, his friends and did his utmost to make everyone feel comfortable and smile. As a fellow Captain I unfortunately never had the opportunity to fly with Marcus, but spent time down route with him on numerous occasions when we were both on the A318 LCY fleet. It was always a delight to discover we were going to be in Ireland or New York at the same time. Every pilot who flew with Marcus will tell you the same things. He was a joy to work with, polite, professional and always did things the correct way. He was an example to the hundreds of First Officers who had the benefit of flying with him. A truly lovely and caring man who has left far far too early. Rest in peace my friend.

Mr David Wallsworth

Words are never enough at a time like this. Our love and best wishes go to Jackie, Sam, James and William.

Mr & Mrs Sheila and Ray Jones

Marcus was a cheerful and helpful colleague and I always enjoyed our flights together. He was also a very good singer at karaoke nights. When I achieved my promotion I was advised to find a mentor and Marcus was a natural choice for me, he was that kind of person. He was a great man, I greatly miss him. I met his lovely family on several occasions and wish to send them my deepest condolences.

Mr Neil Burrows

Our thoughts are with you and the boys Jackie. Love from Malcolm and Pat.

Mr & Mrs Malcolm Ingham

A tragic loss, always a pleasure to be with. Thoughts and condolences to Jackie, Samuel, James and William

Mr Graham Dawkins

Marcus was a wonderful man, as are his wife Jackie and sons Samuel, James and William. As a student in Mary's guitar class with Marcus he was a role model for me, so often being at class, combining this with his time with his family and his duties across the globe. I feel mental health issues can affect the most talented and stable people and I feel this new charity supporting the health of people within British Airways as a tribute to Marcus is wonderful. Jane

Mrs Jane Wakefield

God bless you all Mike G

Mrs Fiona Snow

So sad for those left behind, but Marcus can enjoy eternal rest in the new heaven ... "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Mr David Brock

My condolences . Since our first meeting at flying college Marcus has always been so much more than a gifted colleague...he was also a brilliant friend to know: a guy I would really look forward to meeting-up with. Rest in peace.

Mr Pete Rollo

I Have many fond memories of trips with Marcus. Always looking for an excuse to play the guitar, which, as a shared hobby, I was always happy to oblige! It was always especially nice to meet up with Marcus down route as we were on different fleets, but always had our shared connection with Highlands & Islands. Marcus will be sorely missed, and I wish his family all the best coping with such a devastating loss. Elliot
